🌍 CARB-X is seeking two experienced Assistant Directors of External Affairs to join its global team in a fully remote, full-time role supporting the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Based out of Boston University, the position can be performed worldwide, with availability across ET and CET time zones required.
💼 The role focuses on strengthening relationships with funders, policy-makers, and global health partners, while helping shape CARB-X’s external engagement and funding strategy. Key responsibilities include developing grant proposals, managing stakeholder engagement, monitoring AMR and global health policy trends, preparing leadership briefings, and representing CARB-X at international forums and conferences.
🧠 Candidates should have:
* 8+ years of experience in fundraising, external affairs, or global health partnerships
* Strong proposal writing and relationship management skills
* Knowledge of global health, pharmaceutical R&D, or antimicrobial resistance ecosystems
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Experience working across multicultural and international environments
* Willingness to travel 2–4 days per month ✈️
