Caritas Berlin is seeking a Project Officer (m/f/d) for the Berlin Suicide Prevention Office, dedicated to strengthening suicide prevention efforts across the city through public awareness, networking and public health initiatives.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

Support the project lead in further developing the specialist office and implementing Berlin’s suicide prevention strategy

Coordinate the Suicide Prevention Network Berlin (70+ partner organisations), including meeting facilitation and partner outreach

Position suicide prevention in public discourse through events, media engagement and cooperation with cultural institutions

Organise and deliver professional events (e.g. World Suicide Prevention Day, Mental Health Week)

Conduct training sessions on suicide prevention

Develop information materials (print and online) and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders

👤 Candidate Profile

Degree in social work, social sciences, health sciences or a related field

Experience in project work, ideally in mental health or suicide prevention

Knowledge of Berlin’s psychosocial care system

Strong communication skills; media experience is an advantage

Structured, independent working style with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary networking

Identification with Caritas values is expected
