Call for Advocacy - Women Quota Campaign

At last week's Women in Global Health Annual Meeting, we had the opportunity to attend a very insightful panel from our Hub Community on NCD on women's brain health with Founder and CEO Dr. Antonella Santuccione Chadha.
Most brain diseases have a higher prevalence among females. Did you know that 2 out of 3 patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are women? And did you know that 80 percent of patients with migraines are women? When you add multiple sclerosis, depression, and anxiety, the numbers are staggering. The list goes on...
The Women’s Brain Foundation’s "Women's Quota" Campaign advocates for increased female participation in clinical trials to bridge this gap and ensure research accurately reflects the burden of disease. Their mission is to conduct, coordinate, support, and advance research related to sex and gender differences with the aim of advancing precision medicine. They have established a research foundation dedicated to tackling the impact of sex and gender on brain health, with the ultimate goal of creating a research institute focused on sex and gender precision medicine. This institute will develop personalized therapies for females, males, and all gender spectra.
