Infectious Disease Policy Journal (IDPJ) is an interdisciplinary, open-access online journal dedicated to examining the policy, social, and structural dimensions of infectious diseases across the globe. IDPJ aims to bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice—connecting the voices of scientists, health workers, policymakers, civil society, and the public.

We analyze how political, economic, cultural, and environmental systems shape the prevention, treatment, and control of infectious diseases, with a strong focus on public engagement and equity. IDPJ is especially committed to amplifying perspectives from underrepresented communities, including those in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and to fostering inclusive, community-driven discourse in global health.

IDPJ is a dynamic, interdisciplinary, open-access journal that explores the intersection of policy, society, and infectious disease prevention and response. We are more than a journal. We are a platform for voices that often go unheard in global health discourse.
We invite scholars, policymakers, practitioners, community leaders, and civil society actors to contribute to our growing body of impactful, policy-relevant knowledge. Whether you're researching antimicrobial resistance governance, testing community-led interventions, or reimagining equity in health access, your work belongs here.

Our article processing charges (APCs) follow a tiered model with generous waivers available, including full waivers for authors from low-income countries and the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) members.
