This role is part of a BMG-funded project to develop a national system for monitoring suicide attempts in Germany. The aim is to test the feasibility of gathering such data from multiple sources and to inform future public health strategies.

đ Key Responsibilities:
⢠Work on data collection streams using survey data, health insurance routine data, and police records
⢠Draft scientific publications and tailored project reports
⢠Plan evaluations, conduct literature reviews, and guide data analysis
⢠Coordinate with data providers and support project administration
⢠Present findings nationally and internationally
⢠Participate in expert networks and stakeholder discussions
đŠâđ Required Profile:
⢠Masterâs degree (or equivalent) in Psychology, Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, or related fields
⢠PhD is an advantage
⢠Experience in Public Mental Health, data analysis, and scientific publishing
⢠Understanding of primary and secondary data sources (e.g., health system or survey data)
⢠German C1, English C1 or the willingness to acquire further German/English skills - we support you with language courses
⢠Strong project planning, teamwork, and analytical skills
â Preferred Qualifications:
⢠Experience in working with external stakeholders and coordinating projects
⢠Practical knowledge of R or Stata
⢠Background in suicide prevention or mental health monitoring is a plus
