The German Environment Agency (UBA) is hiring a Research Associate (f/m/d) to support strategic development and scientific coordination in the field of Cross-cutting Issues of Environment and Health.

š Key Responsibilities:
⢠Support strategic planning and coordination within the department focused on One and Planetary Health
⢠Analyze and evaluate national and international processes to develop evidence-based policy recommendations
⢠Initiate and manage research collaborations and funding applications on national, EU, and international levels
⢠Represent UBA in internal and external expert committees and prepare/organize related workshops and events
⢠Publish and present research findings in scientific journals and conferences
⢠Develop measures to ensure gender mainstreaming and evaluate gender equality in the department
⢠Coordinate and analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data
ā Ideal Profile:
⢠Master's or university diploma in natural, engineering, health sciences, medicine, agriculture, nutrition, psychology, communication, political or social sciences
⢠PhD or equivalent scientific achievement desirable
⢠Several years of relevant experience in environmental or health sectors, preferably in scientific institutions with international exposure
⢠Expertise in Planetary Health, One Health, and environmental health risk assessment is a plus
⢠Proven track record of scientific publications
⢠Experience in interdisciplinary project coordination/management
⢠Strong analytical, organizational, and teamworking skills
⢠Gender competence
⢠Fluent in English (spoken and written)
