Head of Communications Unit (f/m/d) | Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) | 09 June 2025
The Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) is seeking a Head of the Communications Unit to join their team as soon as possible in full- or part-time capacity. This is a fixed-term position to cover a parental leave, expected to run until end of August 2026.
📝 Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of 7 communications professionals
• Oversee and implement BIH’s communications strategy
• Serve as the main contact for press and communication
• Organise BIH events and ensure clear science communication to the public
• Liaise closely with the Charité communications department and other stakeholders
• Foster national and international media relations
👤 Ideal Profile:
• University degree in Medicine/Natural Sciences or Communications
• Several years of professional experience in strategic communication and press work
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in both German and English
• Familiarity with marketing and science communication
• Team leadership aligned with individual strengths
• Highly structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
