Job Description:
The Landesamt für Arbeitsschutz, Verbraucherschutz und Gesundheit (LAVG) in Brandenburg is looking for a Head of Department to coordinate activities in Health Promotion, Prevention, and Health Reporting. This role involves working on the continuous development of these areas across Brandenburg and leading various state-level studies and research projects. The position is central to improving public health initiatives and ensuring accurate health data reporting.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate tasks related to health promotion, prevention, and health reporting
- Develop and enhance health promotion and prevention strategies across Brandenburg
- Ensure standardized methodologies for health reporting, quality assurance, data processing, and reporting
- Contribute to the reporting on the health status of the Brandenburg population
-- Lead studies and collaborate with research projects through data provision and cooperation

🎯 Profile Requirements:

- Completed university degree (natural sciences, medicine, public health)
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, epidemiology, and analytics
- Experience with health reporting, health promotion, and prevention
- Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a proactive, independent work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in teams, with flexibility and high resilience

- Proficiency in SPSS and/or R
- Experience in writing scientific reports and statements
- Good command of English, particularly in scientific and medical fields
