Scientific Researcher – Public Health / Epidemiology (Focus: Mental Health)

Workload: Full-time or part-time (50–100%)
Salary: Up to E13 TV-L
Role & Key Tasks:
• Contribute to building a population-representative panel in Saxony-Anhalt with a focus on mental health.
• Collaborate with existing population studies (e.g., LäKoSA, DigiHero, RKI Panel, NAKO).
• Ensure data quality and perform epidemiological analyses on prevalence, co-factors, service use, and prevention.
• Explore linkage between primary and routine data.
• Prepare scientific publications and disseminate results.
Profile Requirements:
• Degree (preferably PhD) in Epidemiology, Public Health, Sociology, Psychology, or Health Promotion with a focus on quantitative/epidemiological methods.
• Strong skills in epidemiological methods and statistical software (R, SAS, STATA).
• Knowledge of secondary data use.
• Very good German and English (spoken/written).
• Team player, able to work independently, with regional ties to Saxony-Anhalt and regular on-site presence.
