    A quick reminder for the mentimeter, and for the people who answered, there are 4 questions in total! Please take some minutes to answer it and send me a short message when you have your slides ready for the next meeting to introduce yourself to the group.

    The next meeting will take place October 29th at 11am. Invitations have already been sent.
    We have discussed with the few people present this week, what we would like to do this year.

    2/ One of the main comments is the discussion is that we don’t know each other well enough.
    We would like to have for the next 2 meeting everyone presenting him/herself briefly, 1 slide with affiliation, main topic of work, competencies related to AMR, main topics of interests. Please if you want to present next meeting tell us so that we can plan how many people are interested.

    Hello everyone! As you know, AMR was selected by the Hub Steering Committee as the Hub's focus topic for this year. For the first time, Germany has named an AMR Ambassador: Dr Muna Abu Sin who will represent Germany internationally on all issues related to antimicrobial resistance, including at the UN High-Level Meeting in September. We will shortly interview Dr. Abu Sin to understand what she sees as the most pressing issues and challenges on AMR. Do you have any questions you would like to...

      3. When is the DART 2030 strategy going to be implemented? Which area of focus will there be? Is it also your task to make sure that national AMR actionplan from Germany is considering and adhering to international AMR-strategies?

      5. What is your main task? How would you describe your new task?
      6. Will you have your own budget and staff?
      7. What role does Diagnostics and especially POC-Diagnostics in your view play to optimize the use of antibiotics? In the light of recent recommendations like, WHO (May 2023) - 76th world health assembly: Strengthening diagnostics capacity or OECD (2023) policy brief, Embracing a One Health Framework to Fight Antimicrobial Resistance – which explicitly mentions rapid diagnostics (quantitative CRP-POC)?
      8. AMR has a wide range of topics. Name 3 topics you think will be your key focus areas?

      The German approach to AMR to date, namely as reflected in previous and current DART strategies, has taken a strong "bugs and drugs" approach, withThe German approach to AMR to date, namely as reflected in previous and current DART strategies, has taken a strong "bugs and drugs" approach, with little focus on socioeconomic and equity aspects of AMR. There is increasing recognition and evidence demonstrating the need to take better account of these aspects in research, policy and practice to address AMR, in health systems as well as agriculture, animal husbandry, and the environment. This includes academic evidence, but also through recent work and committments e.g. at WHO (headquarters and EURO, e.g. see new EURO roadmap highlighted social determinants of health and gender), the World Economic Forum earlier this year, and others. What plans, if any, does the German government have to strengthen consideration of equity, gender and other related dimensions in its work on AMR, either within Germany or as part of European or international efforts?
