Working on a thesis and stuck on something? This session is for students who want to talk through common problems with their drafts. We’ll cover things like unclear sections, awkward wording, references, formatting, and those last few changes that somehow take forever. If you’re looking for thesis help CA, bring along a question or a problem you’ve been putting off. No formal presentation, just a useful discussion with other students.

Open for Applications: Short Course "One Health, One World: Unified Responses to Global Health Challenges" 🌍🐾🌱

The health of humans, animals, and our shared environment is inextricably linked. From pandemic prevention to food safety, the One Health approach is the key to tackling the most pressing global health threats of our time. How can we bridge the gap between human and veterinary medicine to build a safer world?

This short course at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health provides a comprehensive overview of the One Health concept. It equips you with the tools to manage complex health challenges at the human-animal-environment interface, with a special focus on resource-limited settings.

What you will explore:
🔬 Disease Dynamics: Understand the transmission between wildlife, livestock, and humans, and the drivers of emerging zoonotic diseases.
🛡️ AMR & Food Safety: Dive into antimicrobial resistance in agriculture and medicine, and ensure safety across global food chains.
🌍 Ecosystem Health: Analyze the impact of environmental degradation, deforestation, and climate change on public health.
🤝 Policy & Governance: Critically discuss the role of global organizations like WHO, FAO, WOAH, and UNEP in advancing One Health initiatives.
