📢 Student Assistant Wanted – Respiratory Diseases (GrippeWeb-Plus & ARE Surveillance)
The Department of Respiratory Transmissible Diseases is seeking a student assistant to support two surveillance projects:
• GrippeWeb-Plus virological self-sampling study (until 31.12.2025)
• Syndromic ARE-Surveillance (until 30.04.2026)
🕒 Working time: up to 60 hrs/month (≈15 hrs/week)
📅 Start date: 1 October 2025
📍 Fixed days preferred: Monday & Tuesday
Main tasks
• Correspondence with study participants and medical practices (phone/email)
• Preparing & handling shipment of sampling material
• Data entry (participant info, symptom questionnaires, sentinel data)
• Supporting lab notifications, results reporting & database maintenance
• Validating and checking weekly sentinel data
• Assisting with recruitment, reporting and data analysis
Profile requirements
• Good command of German (essential for phone & written communication)
• Reliability and interest in epidemiological/virological surveillance
• Availability on Mondays and Tuesdays preferred
