Head of Secretariat (m/f/d) | Global HIV Prevention Coalition Plus (GPC+) | Deadline: Not specified
📢 On behalf of the Global HIV Prevention Coalition Plus (GPC+), the International AIDS Society (IAS) is seeking a Head of Secretariat (m/f/d). The GPC+ is a multi-stakeholder coordination mechanism that brings together national governments, civil society, multilateral agencies, and donors.
The Secretariat is responsible for the programme implementation, country implementation support, prevention data and analytics, cross-country learning and networking, partner coordination and technical working group oversight, communication as well as accountability and governance.
🔍The role:
- Chief executive of the GPC+ Secretariat
- Primary interface with the Governance Committee, member countries and communities, technical partners, IAS, and the broader HIV prevention ecosystem
- Leading the Secretariat’s strategic and operational delivery
- Managing transition to GPC+ as the successor organisation to the Global HIV Prevention Coalition with integration of the Long-Acting PrEP Coalition
- Managing the Secretariat’s staff and budget oversight
🎓 Your profile:
- Advanced degree at Master's level or above in public health, international development, political science, or a closely related field
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in global health, HIV, or international development
- At least 10 years of experience operating at a senior leadership level at a regional or global with direct accountability for people, strategy and budgets
- Deep knowledge of HIV prevention landscape and strong familiarity or experience with the global HIV response architecture
- Excellent written and oral English language communication skills
- Strong executive capability (incl. strategic leadership, governance acumen, stakeholder diplomacy, country and community orientation, financial stewardship and communication and representation)
- Experience in multistakeholder institutional transitions
- Strong commitment to ensuring that communities most affected by HIV must shape the response
