The Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is recruiting two Link Workers (f/m/d) for the Institute of General Practice (Ref. 6320). The part-time position (19.25 hours/week, 50%) is classified under E9b TVöD VKA and limited to 12 months.
Within the research group “Urban Primary Care,” the team is evaluating the effectiveness of Social Prescribing for people in vulnerable life situations as part of a large EU-funded collaborative project 🇪🇺. The Link Workers will play a central role in supporting study participants facing non-medical, health-related social challenges.
Working closely with patients referred by general practitioners, Link Workers will explore individual social needs and resources, co-develop personalized support plans, and connect participants with relevant local services offering practical, social and emotional support 🤝. They will also build networks within the neighborhoods of participating GP practices and establish a database of community-based services.
Candidates should hold a vocational qualification or bachelor’s degree in a health or social field and demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy and emotional resilience. A high level of reflection, openness, and willingness to contribute actively to a collaborative research team are essential.
