The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of the State of Brandenburg (MGS) is seeking a Policy Officer (w/m/d) for Division 35 “Health Care Provision, Health Economy, Hospital Financing, Rehabilitation” in Potsdam. The position is permanent and available at the earliest possible start date.

🔎 Key Responsibilities
• Strategic and policy work in hospital investment financing
• Development and implementation of new funding strategies for hospitals and health professional schools
• Policy analysis, evaluations, and preparation of political decision-making documents
• Drafting and adapting legal regulations and contributing to legislative procedures
• Preparing speeches, briefings, and supporting senior leadership at public and political events
• Representing the State of Brandenburg in federal-state committees on hospital financing
• Planning and managing hospital investment programs under federal and state law
• Supervising funding implementation and exercising technical oversight of the State Office for Social Affairs and Care (LASV)
• Budget planning and financial management related to hospital funding

🎓 Profile Requirements

Essential:
• Completed university degree (Master/Diploma or equivalent) in law, social sciences, economics, political science, health sciences, or qualification for higher civil service
• Strong knowledge of the German health system and its stakeholders
• Solid expertise in administrative law
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
• Independent, structured working style and ability to work under pressure
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
• Knowledge of hospital investment financing at federal and state level
• Experience with public budget and grant law
• Project management experience
