LAGeSo Berlin is seeking a Head of Department (Referat II C – Integration Office) to lead and further develop the work of the Berlin Integration Office, which promotes the professional inclusion of people with disabilities and supports employers in creating inclusive workplaces.

🧭 Key responsibilities
• Strategic, organisational, professional, and personnel leadership of the department
• Further development of policies and services under Social Code IX (SGB IX)
• Coordination of complex organisational and legal issues
• Cooperation with relevant authorities and institutions (e.g. integration services, social insurance bodies)
• Representation of the Integration Office in networks, working groups, conferences, and public events

👤 Profile required
• For employees: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Law, Public/Administrative Management, Sociology, Social Work, or related social sciences
• For civil servants: Eligibility for senior civil service (higher service) in non-technical administrative service
• Several years of senior leadership experience, including personnel responsibility, ideally in public administration
• Strong organisational, communication, conflict-management, and leadership skills
• High resilience, flexibility, cooperation, and loyalty

📌 Contract & conditions
• Permanent position
• Civil servants: A15, appointment initially on probation (2 years)
• Employees: TV-L E15, leadership position initially limited to 2 years (probationary leadership)
• Salary range: approx. €5,504 – €7,640 gross/month
• Location: Berlin (Sächsische Str. 28)
