🕊️ Position sought:
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is looking for a Humanitarian Advocacy Officer (w/m/d) to join its Berlin Advocacy Unit. This is a permanent position, available full-time or part-time (40h/week), starting 15 March 2026.

🌍 Role purpose:
The role focuses on shaping and advancing MSF’s humanitarian advocacy and political engagement in Germany, addressing humanitarian policy, international humanitarian law, global crises and key trends in the humanitarian sector. A central component is the strategic and content-related leadership of the Humanitarian Congress Berlin.

📌 Key tasks:
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies on German humanitarian policy, international humanitarian law and humanitarian crises
• Produce political analyses, memos, briefings and advocacy materials
• Monitor and analyse political and humanitarian developments relevant to MSF
• Represent MSF’s positions in political processes, media-related formats and expert forums
• Build and maintain networks with policymakers, civil society, academia and MSF colleagues internationally
• Strategically shape and coordinate the Humanitarian Congress Berlin
• Monitor and adapt advocacy strategies, including internal reporting and planning
• Support MSF priorities linked to humanitarian crises and field projects as needed

👤 Profile requirements:
• Strong expertise in humanitarian affairs, policy and international humanitarian law
• Extensive experience in advocacy work in Germany, including events and strategic communication
• High analytical capacity, including political research and monitoring
• Strategic, flexible and agile political thinking
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the humanitarian sector
• Experience with MSF or similar humanitarian organisations is an asset
• Strong team spirit, resilience and ability to manage complex workloads
• Fluent German and English (C2 level)
