Position overview
The Berlin State Office for Refugee Affairs (LAF) is seeking a Public Health Officer to support, coordinate and further develop health services for refugees. The role combines public health planning, data analysis and administrative responsibility within an intercultural and socially impactful setting.

Key responsibilities
• Design, implement, evaluate and adapt health measures following the Public Health Action Cycle (PHAC)
• Collect and analyse health data; assess needs in health promotion and prevention
• Contribute to networks and committees at district and state level
• Develop and improve internal processes related to refugee health care
• Support project implementation using digital tools
• Handle complex billing cases, authorise payments and revenues, and prepare annual financial statements
• Conduct market research and support procurement and grant procedures
• Represent unit or team leadership when required

Required profile
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent FH diploma) in Public Health, Health Management or a closely related field
or
• A qualification at German Qualifications Framework (DQR) level 6 in the health sector plus at least one year of relevant professional experience
