🔍 Job Description:
The Section for Healthcare and Rehabilitation Research (SEVERA) at Universitätsklinikum Freiburg is seeking a Group Leader to establish and lead a new independent research group within the field of healthcare services research. This position involves the development and implementation of innovative research approaches, including the scientific support and evaluation of cross-sectoral interventions. The position offers flexibility in choosing specific research topics but requires a competitive, internationally-oriented, and interdisciplinary approach.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and establish an independent research group focused on healthcare services research
- Contribute to the section’s leadership team in enhancing structures and processes
- Secure third-party funding for sustainable group development
- Mentor staff and guide competitive publications
- Participate in teaching, including potential habilitation opportunities
- Engage in cross-sectional activities and build a strong research network within and outside the university hospital

🎯 Profile Requirements:

- PhD in health-related or behavioral sciences (e.g., psychology, medicine, public health, social sciences, etc.)
- Proven international publication success in healthcare services research
- Experience in securing third-party research funding
- Extensive experience in independent project management, including leadership
- Curiosity for exploring new research topics in healthcare services
