📅 6 February 2026, on the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Women in Global Health is convening a global webinar to advance the conversation on what it will truly take to end FGM—through sustained commitment, investment, and women’s leadership.

🌍 Under the theme “Towards 2030: No End to FGM Without Sustained Commitment and Investment,” the webinar The Power to Lead: Women Advancing the Elimination of Female Genital Mutilation will spotlight the leadership of women and girls, particularly those at risk of or affected by FGM. The discussion will explore the role of health systems and providers, as well as the vital contributions of women’s rights and feminist movements in driving gender-transformative change.

💬 The event will also reflect on how to sustain progress amid growing backlash, fragility, and humanitarian challenges.

 🕒 Time: 12:00–13:30 UTC
📍 Location: Virtual (Zoom)
