The Herbstakademie Public Health 2025, hosted by the NiedersĂ€chsisches Landesgesundheitsamt (NLGA) in collaboration with the Medical School Hannover, Landesvereinigung fĂŒr Gesundheit und Akademie fĂŒr Sozialmedizin Niedersachsen Bremen e. V. (LVG & AFS), and Region Hannover, will focus on the theme âPublic Health Challenges in Times of Crisis.â
Addressing the impacts of social inequality, mental health burdens, climate change, pandemics, and conflicts on population health, this three-day interdisciplinary event is designed for medical and public health students as well as early-career professionals in the public health service (ĂGD).
The programme features expert lectures, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities with municipal health professionals. Highlights include a keynote by Dr. Johannes NieĂen (BiĂG), sessions on crisis resilience for vulnerable groups, climate-related disease vectors, school entry health assessments, and public health strategies for underserved populations.
Participation is free of charge, but online registration is required by 3 November 2025. Continuing education credits will be applied for with the Ărztekammer Niedersachsen.
