Event Description:

The next BEMC Talk will feature Maja Marcus (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin & Brigham and Women’s Hospital) on the role of population-level data in advancing global health research.

Her talk will address the importance of harmonizing large health datasets — from national surveys to multinational cohort studies — to better understand global health challenges such as aging populations, shifting disease burdens, and persistent inequities. Using the Global Health and Population Project on Access to Care for Cardiometabolic Diseases (HPACC) as an example, she will highlight how harmonized data can answer policy-relevant questions and strengthen evidence-based health strategies worldwide.
