About This Event

The second Global Convening of the Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH) will take place virtually from 14–18 July 2025. Against a backdrop of disrupted healthcare systems and digital infrastructure—particularly in vulnerable communities—this year’s convening will bring together global stakeholders to align on urgent digital health priorities and pathways for sustainable transformation.

Following the WHO Executive Board’s recommendation to extend the Global Strategy on Digital Health (GSDH) through 2027 and propose a second strategy through 2032, this convening will serve as a platform to explore how such strategies can support stronger governance, local innovation, and equitable access to digital health solutions.

Key Objectives:

  • Identify priority actions under the proposed GSDH extension (2025–2027), especially for low- and middle-income countries.
  • Discuss emerging themes for the potential new GSDH (2028–2033).
  • Map out collaborative pathways to finance and implement sustainable, country-led digital transformation efforts.

This event builds on the momentum of the first GIDH Convening held in Geneva in May 2024 and will feature dynamic formats including panels, breakout discussions, and rapid presentations.
