Event Series on Proposal Writing for Horizon Europe (Cluster Health & Cancer Mission)

From 2 to 6 March 2026, the Nationale Kontaktstelle Gesundheit will host a five-part online event series on proposal preparation for the Health Cluster and the Cancer Mission under Horizon Europe.


Across five consecutive days, participants will receive detailed guidance on key components of Horizon Europe proposals for Research and Innovation Actions (RIAs). Each 90-minute session includes approximately 45 minutes of in-depth input on the official proposal template, practical tips for drafting competitive applications, and an opportunity for live Q&A 💡


Topics include:




  • 2 March: Part A and Ethics




  • 3 March: Excellence




  • 4 March: Impact




  • 5 March: Implementation




  • 6 March: Clinical Trials




The series is primarily aimed at researchers and stakeholders preparing applications for the 2026 calls within the Health Cluster or the Cancer Mission 🎯.


Participation is free of charge; however, prior registration is required and is now open.

🌍 Advancing Care for Neglected Tropical Diseases


📅 26 February 2026 | 📍 Campus Virchow Klinikum, Berlin

On 26 February 2026, colleagues from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) will come together for an afternoon dedicated to advancing care for patients affected by neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

Under the theme “From Discovery to Delivery”, this scientific exchange will connect clinicians, researchers, and global health professionals to explore how collaboration between academia and product development partnerships can translate research into real-world impact.

The program features expert insights on DNDi’s achievements in research and development, updates on sleeping sickness elimination, long-term care for chronic Chagas disease, and recent progress in tungiasis control. 🎓🧪

The event is open to clinicians, researchers, students, and all professionals interested in global health, tropical medicine, and infectious diseases. It will conclude with an informal networking session to foster interdisciplinary exchange and future collaboration. 🤝

Registration is open until 24 February 2026.

Global health professionals and researchers (PhD level and above) are invited to apply for the upcoming workshop “Creativity for Equity: Innovative Science Communication for Global Health Justice,” co-organized by Hannah Strohmeier, Yagmur Demirpehlivan, Torben Heinsohn, and Charlotte Köhler.


This two-day event will offer a rich blend of learning, hands-on creative practice, and collective reflection — all centered on how science communication can be reimagined to support equity and justice in global health.


Open to those working at the intersection of health, communication, and social transformation, the workshop promises a collaborative and inspiring atmosphere at the unique Spreefeld venue in Berlin.
