ALERT - We need dedicating EU funding for Women's Health

🚨 Europe can’t close the gender health gap without dedicated EU funding for women’s health research. Add your voice and sign our call to action! In its 2025 Roadmap for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030, the European Commission committed to take action to close the gender health gap, acknowledging that women suffer from a lack of gender-sensitive medical research, diagnostics and treatments, and committing to support the delivery of the highest standards of physical and mental health for all women. 🔬 One way to make that happen is through research and innovation. The EU is now entering the decisive phase for its next big research funding programme for 2028–2034 – the 10th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (#FP10). We call on Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva to support the establishment of a dedicated EU instrument on women's health R&I within this programme – and we need your support (and signature) too! While mainstreaming and integrating women’s health in relevant policies is essential to tackle all aspects of the gender health gap, dedicated instruments are also needed to give targeted attention and specific funding for women’s health.
