About This Event
The Berlin University Alliance invites participants to an immersive afternoon exploring how cities can rethink water as a vital, circular resource. Hosted at the Roof Water Farm, a living laboratory for sponge city principles, hydroponics, and urban farming, the event blends science, practice, and art to address climate resilience and sustainable water use in urban spaces.
The programme includes:
- Guided tour of the Roof Water-Farm and project insights from Dr. Anja Steglich and Dr. Grit Bürgow (TU Berlin)
- Networking workshop for researchers and practitioners on urban water circularity
- Artistic performance by Prof. Dr. Friederike Landau-Donnelly exploring hydro-feminist perspectives on water and the body
- Collaborative workshop with artists Gunilla Jähnichen and Nico Altmann, and Greentech e.V., building a model of a future water city and measuring environmental data
The event is part of the On Water | DIALOG and On Water | PARCOURS series, bringing together technological, social, and artistic perspectives to inspire resilient, just, and liveable cities.
