My name is Joseph Ahrim, I am a Biologist from Ecuador and a Master's degree in Computational Biology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE). I am very pleased to join this community and connect with researchers and professionals who share an interest in snakebite envenoming.
My current research focuses on the identification and characterization of novel proteins in the venom gland transcriptomes of pit vipers, particularly Bothrops asper. Through transcriptomic and bioinformatic approaches, I aim to improve our understanding of venom evolution, toxin diversity, and their potential biomedical applications.
I am fascinated by toxins, their structure and modes of action. I hope to continue studying them now at a spatial transcriptomic level to discover their secrets and incredible uses.
I look forward to learning from your experiences, make friends, exchanging ideas, and exploring opportunities for collaboration.Beitrag wartet auf FreischaltungBeitrag wurde veröffentlicht, er ist jetzt im Stream sichtbar.
