➡️ Officer: €3000-€3400 (full-time)
➡️ Senior Officer: €3200-€3700 (80% position, equivalent to €4000-€4625 full-time)
About the Role
DSW is looking for two advocacy professionals to influence EU policies and funding for global health research and innovation. The roles focus on advocating for research on neglected tropical diseases, women’s health, and sexual and reproductive health, while shaping EU policy on global health equity and pandemic preparedness.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Implement advocacy activities on EU research & innovation (R&I) policies for global health.
✔ Monitor political processes, including Horizon Europe, EDCTP, EU-Africa relations, and HERA.
✔ Develop policy recommendations, advocacy materials, and strategic assessments.
✔ Engage with EU decision-makers, policymakers, and advocacy coalitions.
✔ Represent DSW in meetings, events, and public engagements.
✔ Support resource mobilization and communications for advocacy.
Who Can Apply?
✅ Officer: 2-3 years’ experience in EU advocacy.
✅ Senior Officer: 7-8 years’ experience in EU advocacy.
✅ Strong knowledge of EU policy-making and global health issues.
✅ Experience in drafting advocacy materials and engaging policymakers.
✅ Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Global Health, or a related field.
✅ Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
✅ Work & residence permit for Belgium.
