Event Title:	Short Course- Applying the Rights Based Approach in Achieving Health Related SDGs

Event Description:	This May (13th-17th) the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health will be hosting a one-week in-person course entitled, "Applying the Rights Based Approach in Achieving Health Related SDGs". In this course we will be covering the theories and frameworks of Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. We will also delve into access to health and medicines for vulnerable populations (living in remote areas, people with disabilities, people with mental illness, people in detention centers) and investigate the WHO pandemic treaty. The course is coordinated by myself (Maureen McGowan) and my colleague Dr. Astrid Berner-Rodoreda and will include wonderful lecturers from various institutions (i.e., University of Toronto, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences).
